Meet Charé

We’re shining the spotlight on Charé, one of our Account Managers here at Ellerslie Events.

Having been part of the team for almost two years, Charé works closely with our clients to help bring their events to life. Her days are varied and fast-paced, ranging from emails and phone calls through to site visits, event familiarisation and health and safety compliance — with plenty of problem-solving along the way.

It was this fast-paced nature of the industry that first attracted Charé to a career in events.

“I love the problem-solving and the need to be a quick thinker – and doesn’t everyone want to be an event planner?”

One of Charé’s favourite events she has worked on at Ellerslie so far is Deep Hard and Funky, while her dream event to organise would be the WOW Showcase – a fitting choice for someone with a love of creative arts and events that push the boundaries.

The part of the job she enjoys most, however, is being part of her clients’ successes and seeing the joy that events can bring to people.

“If I could give every client one piece of advice, it would be that an event will always turn out exactly as it is supposed to.”

Outside of work, Charé enjoys getting out into nature, hiking and exploring creative pursuits — including sewing. She describes herself as both an early bird and a night owl, depending on the day, and her colleagues would likely describe her as independent, strong-willed and funny.

And when it comes to food at Ellerslie, her pick is easy — the plated duck, featured on the menu for our Ladies’ Day Pink Ribbon Lunch.

We’re proud to have Charé as part of the team and look forward to seeing the many more events, ideas and client successes she’ll continue to be part of.
