Here at Ellerslie Events we manage event centre operations at both Ellerslie and Pukekohe Park and, under our parent brand Auckland Thoroughbred Racing, manage racing at both racecourses too.

We’re looking for an account coordinator to join our event services team, primarily focusing on our event centre operations.
About the role
Working alongside our Account Managers and reporting to the Sales Manager, this role supports the coordination and delivery of a wide range of raceday and non-raceday events, from corporate functions and weddings to private celebrations across our event spaces at Ellerslie and Pukekohe Park.
This is the perfect opportunity for someone with a strong eye for detail, a positive attitude, and a passion for delivering exceptional client experiences.
You’ll assist with:
- Supporting account managers in the coordination and delivery of client events from enquiry through to post-event follow-up.
- Managing smaller-scale client bookings (up to 200 guests) and internal events.
- Preparing event documentation such as confirmations, contracts, function sheets, and invoices.
- Liaising with internal teams (operations, catering, and sales) to ensure all event requirements are delivered smoothly.
- Providing professional and timely communication to clients and suppliers.
- Supporting sales initiatives through proposals, quotations, and follow-ups.
- Maintaining accurate event and customer records using iVvy and other systems.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has 1–2 years of experience in events, hospitality, or administration (or a relevant tertiary qualification);
- Demonstrates strong administration experience;
- Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and thrives under pressure;
- Is proficient in Microsoft Office with experience with event systems such as iVvy or Priava an advantage.
We will also need you to be open to working flexible hours in order to ensure a flawless delivery of our clients’ and racing business’s needs – especially as many of our client events and racedays fall on public holidays and weekends.
